The brief
Three fronts in the same offices: AV for the auditorium and common areas, access control at the entrance, and a satellite backup link so a carrier fault doesn’t cut off critical corporate services.
Technology
- LED wall
- Mobile displays
- AV rack
- Digital signage
- Access turnstiles
- Starlink
- Backup WAN
- Failover / failback
Auditorium and AV
The auditorium is used for presentations, training and internal events: picture and sound have to work first time, whoever is in the room.
- Large-format LED wall in the auditorium
- Mobile displays on stands for the tiered seating
- AV rack centralising sources and control
- Information displays in the common areas
- Cabling, commissioning and testing
Access control
Turnstiles at the office entrance, installed, cabled and connected to the network so staff and visitor access is controlled from day one.
- Installing the turnstiles at the entrance
- Cabling and connection to the corporate network
- Commissioning and operational testing
Satellite backup
A Starlink link independent of the main carrier, so an ISP outage doesn’t cut off critical corporate services.
- Site and satellite visibility survey
- Antenna installation and alignment
- Cable run to the comms infrastructure
- Integration with the existing corporate network
Configured as backup
Starlink is configured as the backup WAN link, with monitoring and failover to keep communications running if the main ISP goes down.
Testing
- Failover and failback
- Latency and stability
- Throughput
- Main link recovery
The solution was validated as a contingency system for critical corporate services.
