Deploy the entire IT and communications infrastructure for Bobo Choses’ flagship store in Barcelona: LAN and Wi-Fi, perimeter security, CCTV and redundant connectivity.
In a shop, if the network goes down, you can’t take payments. Continuity was the requirement.
Technology
- Ubiquiti
- Firewall
- 802.1Q VLANs
- NAT / DHCP
- IP CCTV
- 5G
- WAN failover
Wi-Fi and segmentation
- Coverage planning
- SSIDs, VLANs and roaming
- Client isolation
- Separate networks: business, corporate devices, IoT and customers
Perimeter security
- Firewall and advanced security policies
- Routing, NAT, DHCP and 802.1Q VLANs
- Traffic control and isolation between segments
- Integration of the different communication links
Isolated CCTV
The IP CCTV system is on its own VLAN, with access policies independent of the rest of the corporate network.
If the carrier goes down, the store keeps trading
WAN redundancy with 5G connectivity: the main link is monitored and, if the ISP fails, traffic switches to 5G automatically.
